Andrius Balachovich was born in 1980. In Vilnius . He started studying music at Vilnius B. Dvarionas VMM. Later, he studied at the Vilnius Conservatory and the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater. 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002 Andrius became a laureate in the Lithuanian accordionist competitions held as a soloist and as a participant in chamber ensembles. 2nd place in the international accordion competition in Valtidone (Italy) in 2001. in 2002 Montesse (Italy) - 1 bonus. in 2003 Stefano Bizzari (Italy) participated in the competition in the categories of concert performers and variety artists. Two laureate prizes were won. Andrius actively performs concerts in Lithuania and abroad. He played many times in prestigious Lithuanian and foreign concert halls: the Lithuanian National Philharmonic, Vilnius Town Hall, Vilnius Congress House, Poznań Town Hall (Poland), Fr. At the Schubert Conservatory in Vienna (Austria), he is also often invited to play music at the Presidency of the Republic of Lithuania and the Government House.
Andrius is also the leader of the accordion quintet "Modus", with whom he has performed several times in Germany, Italy, Ireland, Finland, Poland, Belarus, Latvia and Estonia. Participates in various concerts organized by the Lithuanian Society of Musicians, including the "Musician's Parade". He not only performs with the ensemble, but also successfully participates in international competitions: in 1998 in the competition Premio Citta di Castelfidardo (Italy) won the 2nd place, 1999. in the accordion music competition in Tartu (Estonia) - 1st place, 2000 Sanok (Poland) - II place, also in 2000. in the competition Premio di Castelfidardo (Italy) - 1st place, 2001. in the chamber ensemble competition Contesa Tina Orsi Anguissola Scotti (Italy) - 1st place, 2002. Montesse (Italy) - Grand Prix. Andrius has recorded concert recordings in Germany and Italy, as well as on Lithuanian national radio and television. He is currently preparing to release a CD of his greatest hits with the Modus quintet. In addition to all this, he works as a teacher at the Vilnius Bali Dvarion School of Music and actively performs with various ensembles: "Media Luna", "Tango gatos", "Modus", "Vilniaus Klezmeriai", etc.)
