Lithuanian composer and pedagogue. Son of J. Navakas, brother of M. Navakas. Graduated from the Lithuanian Conservatoire (1977, piano class of A. Dvarionienė, 1981, composition class of E. Balsis). Since 1975 he has been teaching at the B. Dvarionas School of Music, since 1982 he has been the head of the Jazz and Pop Music Department.
