Chris Tenzis studied at the British Film Institute, the London International Film School and The American Film Institute Conservatory. While in Chicago, he received the Build Illinois Filmmakers Grant after the completion of his feature, Some Guys, which premiered at The Chicago Underground Film Festival and interned at Kartemquin Films during the completion of Hoop Dreams (Fine Line Features). He started as an assistant editor at the Sundance Filmmakers Lab and Will Vinton Studios (Portland, OR), later becoming editor of the animated series The PJs (Warner Bros.) and Gary & Mike (UPN). He is employed by Sony Pictures Animation. As director, his film, A Man and His Pants, premiered at SXSW and won the audience award at the Northwest FIlm & Video Festival. His film, Big Touch, was highlighted by Kodak as part of the AFI Visual Essay Program and was screened at 150 festivals in thirty countries winning ten awards. As actor, he was in Todd Haynes's film May December, which was selected for competition at the 76th Cannes Film Festival.
