He studied at the Faculty of Philology of Vilnius University and graduated from Lithuanian Philology. He studied film directing at the Tbilisi Theater Institute, at the Jonas Mekos Anthology Film Archive in New York. In 1996, V. V. Landsbergis studied theater direction in the courses of young European theater directors organized in Leeds, England.
