Darius Rudis has significant stage experience. Having debuted on the jazz scene in 1999, the musician has recently been one of the busiest drummers in the country, and is also named as one of the best drummers in Lithuania. Darius plays with many authoritative Lithuanian jazz musicians, pop artists, and also performs abroad.
Born in 1982. From the age of 5, he studied at the Bali Dvarionas Music School (piano and accordion) in Vilnius. He studied composition privately with contemporary music composer Rytis Mažulis. He started playing percussion instruments at the age of 15. He entered the Vilnius Juoz Tallat-Kelpšas Conservatory and graduated from the jazz department with percussion instruments. Later, he completed his pedagogical master's studies at LMTA. He studied for a year at the Gröningen Conservatory in Holland with Ralph Peterson (USA) and Steve Altenberg (USA). Since 2007, he has been teaching percussion instruments and ensemble at Vilnius College and LMTA.
Darius actively participates in concert activities, clubs and festivals, with famous Lithuanian and foreign musicians.
