The choir director, who joined the Ensemble in 2006, Dovilė Mačiukaitė – Krasauskienė, as the ensemble members themselves say – is a true source of energy and warmth. She is a director who brings a lot of the best emotions to the ensemble and shares them with everyone around her. It is rare to see the director in a bad mood, but she will always notice if someone comes to a rehearsal sad and will give each ensemble member personal attention, support and understanding. Feeling such enthusiasm during rehearsals, one often wonders where the director gets so much energy from, which she also conveys to the ensemble members. The reason for this is probably her incalculable knowledge of music – from lyrical folk songs to rock pieces – there is no piece that the director could not perform and teach others. Director Dovilė is a complete professional, always coming up with new interesting exercises and never giving up. Well, if something doesn’t work out – with various methods and techniques, her patience and stubbornness, she will manage to control the not always obedient voices of the choristers. The leader never forgets to tell about the essence of the works, and, if known, she also tells the story of the creation of the work. Since the works performed are very diverse, there are often unknown tricks in them, then Dovilė translates and explains incomprehensible words, once again presents the upcoming tasks and does not forget to encourage everyone so that the ensemble members can empathize even more and sing with all their heart. Dovilė inspires everyone with her experience, wonderful voice, written arrangements that make the heart tremble in everyone who hears them.
