Eglė Bičkienė

The artist creates with her own found and cultivated author's technique - color and relief prints are intertwined with drawings, cutouts and textures, she uses the collage technique. The works reflect the ornamentation of Lithuanian folk art, ethnographic and natural motifs. E. Bičkienė associates her work with cultural heritage. The artist says that she gives priority to handwork, leaving modern digital technologies aside. "The paintings are so light, feminine and playful," - say the first visitors to the exhibition. Another thought expressed: "It is dance, music, a calm wind, warm rain and the most beautiful crocheted dress... It is so beautiful and good..." E. Bičkienė has been actively participating in exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad since 2003, participating in joint exhibitions of artists. The artist is an active participant in plein airs. This is the artist's second exhibition at the Šiauliai District Court in Šiauliai.
