Pianist Eglė Kasteckaitė 1993 graduated from J. Naujalis Art School, 1999. graduated from LMA soloist-pianist (doc. J. Bialobžeskis class), concertmaster (doc. A. Kisieliūtė class) and master's studies in pedagogy.
Interned in Salzburg at the Mozarteum High School of Music in the class of D. Bashkirov, in the concert work weeks of the Hanover High School of Music with prof. H. Beyerle and prof. L. Sims classes. The pianist is a laureate and graduate of national and international competitions. The pianist performed with various chamber ensembles and soloists and choirs in Latvia, Russia, Finland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Norway, etc.
Eglė Kasteckaitė is an active chamber music performer. From 2001 to 2013, a member of the "Duo Strimaitis" ensemble, with whom she held solo programs, performed at many music festivals in Lithuania, as well as in Germany, Austria, Italy, Latvia, etc. With this duo, the pianist released two CDs - Pas de deux and Fratres. The pianist also performs with other collectives and soloists - St. Christopher's Chamber Orchestra (conductor D.Katkus), M.K.Čiurlionis Quartet, singers A.Krikščiūnaitis, A.Rubežius, J.Gedmintaita, V.Kaminskaita, E.Mačiulyta, cellist E. Daunyte, violinists A. Šilale, A. Doveikate, saxophonist P. Vyšniauskas, also organizes arts synthesis projects with actors A. Storpirščias, N. Savičenko, V. Mainelyte and others.
From 1996 to 2022 E. Kasteckaitė worked as a piano teacher and concertmaster at the Vilnius choral singing school "Liepaitės", she obtained the qualification categories of expert teacher and expert concertmaster. In 2021-2022, she worked as the deputy director of this school for education. Since 2005 she works as a concertmaster at the B.Dvarion School of Music in the Vilnius Decade. From 2008 to 2013, she is one of the organizers of the chamber music "Paežerių dvara festival", and since 2014 she is the artistic director of the classical and jazz summer festival "Marijampolė music park".
From 2022 Eglė Kasteckaitė is the head of the Art Center of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater.
in 2022 Eglė Kasteckaitė was awarded the medal of St. George, the patron saint of Marijampole, for her services to the culture of Marijampolė and the dissemination of professional art in the city by organizing the festival "Marijampolė Music Park".
