Nina Rajić Kranjac was born. She gave birth in 1991 in Belgrade, she attended primary and secondary school in Maribor. In addition to the completed international diploma program at Second High School Maribor, she also successfully completed elementary music school (majoring in piano) and Conservatory of Music and Ballet Maribor (solo singing and saxophone). L. enrolled at the Academy for Theatre, Radio, Film and Television, majoring in Theater and Radio Directing. In 2010, her mentor was Assoc. prof. Tomi Janežič in red. prof. Janez Hocevar. She received her master's degree in the summer of 2017.
During her studies, she received several awards. In the summer of 2012, the play titled Three Sisters (by A.P. Chekhov) won the student award for the best overall production. In the following years, the play 1981 (S. Semenič) received the first prize for the best production at the International Festival of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb and the Šelig Award for the best Slovenian production at the Slovenian Drama Week. In summer 2014, she received the academic Prešeren Prize for directing for the direction of the same play (and the direction of the actor's author's project ZDAJ letim! (based on the motives of B. Brecht)) and the artistic direction of the Glej Theater for our performance. The latter offered her a residency in the summer of 2015, where she directed The Talking of Birds (J.C. Carrièra and P. Brook), an adaptation of the Sufi poem by Farid ud-Din Attar from the 12th century. The play took part in the competition program of the 56th international theater festival MESS in Sarajevo, where it won two awards: Nina Rajić Kranjac also won as the best young director, the acting team and for the collective performance in the play. In the summer of 2016, she received the Prešeren Prize of the University of Ljubljana for the direction of the same play. Her institutional debut was Svetovalec (M. Koruna) at MGL in 2016, in 2017 she directed Idiots at SMG (based on Lars von Trier), and in 2018 Our Class (T. Słobodzianeka) produced by PG Kranj. Zanj received the award for the best direction at the 53rd Festival Borštnikovo sročenie. In the summer of 2017, she received her master's degree in theater directing under the mentorship of Assoc. prof. Tomija Janežič, with the latter she worked as an assistant director in the productions Man (2015), BDT, Saint Petersburg; Doppler (2016) and King Ubu (2018), Trøndelag Teater, Trondheim.
