Fabio began his musical career with the modern trombone, graduating from the Conservatory of Music ‘L. Marenzio’ in Brescia (IT) in 2009, with the professor G. Delmonte; he then followed a ‘Performance Master Course’ at the Aosta Conservatory of Music with Vincent Lepape (2011).
After few years working as a freelance musician with orchestras and chamber music groups, he moved to The Netherlands where he attended the Amsterdam Conservatorium for a Bachelor degree in bass trombone (2015) with the professor Raymond Munnecom, and the Utrecht Conservatorium for a Master degree in Early Music (2017), specializing in baroque trombone with Adam Woolf.
As a trombonist, in 2015 was selected for the ‘Lucerne Festival Academy Orchestra’, and was in the meantime becoming a prominent sackbut player: he has worked and toured around Europe with groups such as ‘Les Musiciens du Prince’, ‘I Barocchisti’, ‘I Gemelli’, ‘La Grande Chapelle’, ‘Ghislieri Choir and Consort’, ‘Le Concert Olympique’, ‘Wroklaw Baroque Ensemble’, ‘Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra’, ‘Accademia d’Arcadia’, ‘Cantarlontano’ and others.
He recorded albums with artists such as Cecilia Bartoli, Philippe Jaroussky, Emoke Barath and Javier Camarena and had the chance to perform in festivals as the ‘Salzburg Festspiele’, ‘Lucerne Festival’, ‘Edinburgh International Festival’, ‘MiTo’, ‘Oude Muziek Utrecht’ and ‘Wratislava Cantans’.
