Gabriele Kuzmickaitė
in 2014 graduated from Kaunas Juozas Gruodis Conservatory, studied solo singing at Vytautas Magnus University Music Academy, prof. Sabina Martinaitytė and prof. In the singing classes of Audronė Eitmanavičiūtė, she obtained a master's qualification degree (2020). During his studies, prof. Romano B. Twardy (Germany), Assoc. Genadijus Kabkos (Ukraine), prof. Bogdano Makalia (Poland), prof. Wolfgang Niessner (Austria), prof. Josef Wallnig (Austria), prof. In master courses led by Andeas Macc (Austria), Izabela Kłosińska (Poland) and director Michael Woodwood (Great Britain). The singer also successfully participated in international vocalist competitions in Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, where she won the Grand Prix and first places. She was awarded three letters of thanks from the President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė for her achievements in international competitions (2014, 2016, 2019), as well as thanks from Kaunas City Mayor Visvaldas Matijošaitis for her active participation in the "Initiatives for Kaunas" project and for promoting the name of the city of Kaunas and fostering professional music in an international competition. As a soloist, G. Kuzmickaitė actively performs with various collectives in many Lithuanian cities, as well as outside the country - in Portugal, Latvia, Poland, Great Britain. Participates in various international projects, events and festivals, the most important of which are: Kaunas Biennale, game culture convention project "GameOn Live" at the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Center "Litexpo", where with VDU Chamber Orchestra and KTU Academic Choir "Jaunystė" performed live songs from computer games soundtracks, Chamber Music Festival "Avanti", Pažaislis Music Festival, Tytuvėnai Summer Festival, Flower and Music Festival in VDU Kaunas Botanical Garden, "Operetta in Kaunas Castle". in 2020 G. Kuzmickaitė performed the soprano part in the cantata "Kryžių ir rupinojėlių Lietuva" by the expatriate composer Aleksandars Stankevičius, performed for the first time in Lithuania, based on the verses of Henrik Nagis. in 2021 sang the mezzo-soprano part in the world premiere of Vytautas Barkauskas' "Resurrection Oratorio" at the 18th Chaim Frenkel Villa Summer Festival in Šiauliai with the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra and the Kaunas State Choir conducted by Robert Šerveniks. Her concert repertoire includes solo parts in large vocal-instrumental works of various eras: W. A. Mozart's "Missa brevis" in G major and "Requiem", J. S. Bach's "Passion according to John", R. Schumann's "Requiem" and others.
The soloist made her debut on the opera stage as Marcelina in W.A., which was produced by the teachers of the Mozarteum University of Salzburg (Austria), Josef Wallnig, Wolfgang Niessner, Andreas Macco, Gaiva Bandzinaitė and director Michael Woodwood (Great Britain) together with the teachers, students and alumni of the VDU MA Singing Department. In Mozart's opera The Marriage of Figaro (2018). In the same year, this joint project of Lithuanian, Austrian and British artists was presented at the Kenneth More Theater in London.
in 2019 G. Kuzmickaitė made her debut at the Kaunas State Music Theater as Duniasha in N. Rimsky-Korsakov's opera "Czar's Fiancee" (dir. Jonas Janulevičius, dir. Teet Kask, 2013), with this performance she participated in a theater tour at the XI International Opera Festival "PromFest" in Pern (Estonia ). Among other soloist roles created in this theater is Būreja in F. Wildhorn's musical "Karmen. Viva amor! (dir. Jonas Janulevičius, dir. Kęstutis S. Jakštas, 2015), Flora in G. Verdi's opera "Traviata" (dir. Ričardas Šumila, dir. Anželika Cholina, 2021), Frau Wolf and Guvernantė in the musical by S. Levay "Elisabeth" (dir. Jonas Janulevičius, director Viktorija Streiča, 2021). From 2022 is the soloist of this theater.
in 2019 the singer also made her debut at the Klaipėda State Music Theater, where she created the role of Dona Elvyra in W.A. Mozart's "Don Juan" (dir. Josef Wallnig, director Jonas Vaitkus, 2019). Among other roles created in Klaipėda are Bušė in E. Balsi's opera "Journey to Tilžė" (dir. Tomas Ambrozaitis, dir. Gytis Padegimas, 2019), Diana J. Offenbach's operetta "Orpheus in Hell" (dir. Tomas Ambrozaitis, dir. Rūta Bunikytė, 2020), the witch in A. Dvořák's opera "Mermaid" (dir. Tomas Ambrozaitis, dir. Gytis Padegimas, 2022). From 2021 is the soloist of this theater.
From 2020 G. Kuzmickaitė also works as an assistant in the Singing Department of the VMU Music Academy.
