Head of the Department of Pedagogy of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, docent, doctor of social sciences, laureate of international pianist competitions. Interned at the Salzburg Higher School of Music and Fine Arts "Mozarteum" (Austria), in the piano class of professor A. Lozonczy, improved in master courses in Germany, Finland, Austria with professors K. H. Kämerling, J. Riberra, L. Kostecky. Currently actively expressing themselves in very different, but complementary roles. G. Gabnytė has prepared a number of scientific publications, a monograph, regularly participates in international scientific conferences, and is also a participant in various artistic and scientific projects in Lithuania and abroad. Playing in various piano ensembles - duet, trio, quartet - and chamber ensembles of other compositions occupies a significant place in the pianist's activities. In recent years, the pianist has paid great attention to pedagogical activities.
