The group 16Hz was founded by brothers Robertas and Petras Jucevičiai. The name is associated with sound, music, and only a very well-trained human ear begins to hear sounds when their vibrational frequency reaches 16 Hz.
The official birth of the group's name is the fall of 1994, when the debut 16 Hz album "Jei vargai..." was released by the company "Pūkas". After its release, the group changed the publishing company, moving to "Pop Center". in 1995 the second album "Pavasarinis sniegas" was released, whose title song (of the same name) made the band 16Hz famous. Until 1997 In the summer, two more albums and the first 16Hz compact disc (CD) "Iš tylos" are released, which contains the best works, previously only released on audio cassettes. The composition of the collective changed, but the core remained the same - brothers. In 1997. At the end of 2016, 16Hz splits with the publishing company "Pop centras" and at the same time, another permanent member - Skaidius (Hardas) Varslauskas - joins the group.
The group has never stopped active concert and creative activities since the release of the first album. Three more new albums and two compilation programs are released.
Lots of invitations to various events, holidays, closed evenings, TV shows, etc. only proves that the music performed at 16Hz is universal and acceptable both among the youth and the older generation.
