The ensemble Duo FluPia came together in 2013. During its existence, the ensemble organized concerts with the programs "Fields of Elysees.." (2014), "Blinks of Light" (2014), "Music Tastings" (2015) and "Waiting for a Miracle.." (2016). .). The performers have presented their programs to the listeners of Anykščiai, Druskininkai, Šiauliai, Kaunas and Vilnius.
in 2014 ensemble "Duo FluPia" took 1st place in the international chamber ensemble competition "Music without Borders", held in Druskininkai. in 2015 the ensemble prepared a concert program "M. K. Čiurlionis in our eyes..". Eight preludes by M. K. Čiurlionis for the piano were arranged by the girls for flute and piano and performed during the ballet composition "The Tale of the Kings", held in the dance theater of the M. K. Čiurlionis School of Arts. in 2017 "Duo FluPia" won 1st place at the international "Masters" competition in Warsaw.
The name of the ensemble Duo FluPia did not come immediately. While playing, the girls gradually felt that they were more attracted to delicate, gentle, maybe even more "feminine" music. We started looking for a name that would reflect femininity, tenderness, pure feeling in music... We chose a soft-sounding name that connects two instruments as if they were one.
Performers are always looking for new ways of expression, trying to expand their musical color palette. They are most fascinated by the music of French composers, which is filled with a unique aroma. The duo's repertoire includes such composers as Ph. Works by Gaubert, J. Ibert, C. Debussy, O. Messiaen, C. Franck, F. Martin. Although the girls are impressed by French music, they also perform works by composers from other countries: here is the 2014 the duo invited cellist Marių Sakavičius to their ranks and together they performed N. Kapustin's Trio op. for the first time in Lithuania. 86 for flute, cello and piano. Duo FluPia also likes A. Piazzolla's work, which, according to the ensemble, exposes the soul, revealing the true human being. The ensemble also promotes Lithuanian music, playing preludes by M. K. Čiurlionis for flute and piano, arranged by themselves. During their concerts, the performers try to create a warm and cozy, pleasant and inspiring atmosphere, during which music reigns.
in 2015 the ensemble decided to release their first album, which would reflect their approach to music, individuality and values. At the end of Vilmantė's master's studies, the performers decided that everything they had accumulated during a couple of years of making music should somehow be meaningful, immortalized and contained in their first music album. And here are selected musical opuses that are important for girls and mean a lot to them, and 2017-2018. at the junction, the CD "Duo FluPia" saw the light of day. Each track in this album has its own story, its own time, its own mood. Duo FluPia sincerely hopes that every listener will feel it.
