Vairas is a well-known Lithuanian music group, formed in 1960. March 8 In Šiauliai, as an ensemble of employees of the city bicycle and engine factory "Vairas", named after the factory. He performed at factory celebrations, for friends and relatives, and in 1982 under the leadership of Vytautas Katilis, appeared on the professional stage and became popular throughout Lithuania.
From 1982 to 1991 the group was led by Vytautas Katilius. After starting to perform and gaining popularity, factory workers became musicians and left their jobs at the factory. in 1983 the group became the winner of the Šiauliai variety ensembles inspection. This is how "Vairs" gradually entered the professional scene.
Since 1993 the group was led by Vadim Kamrazer.
in 1996 the band broke up. in 2000 The steering wheel is back on the scene. In the same year, the album "Kings without crowns / 2000s collection" was released.
in 2002 March 20 the group presented the album "Sapnas" of new songs, which received a lot of attention from the listeners. A year later, the group released another album of new songs "Don't be sad, not worthy", followed by another disc "Vairas".
in 2010 March. after the death of vocalist Edmond Čivinskas, the group remained with four members and continues to perform successfully to this day. in 2013 another album of new songs was released, called "We're all right".
