SAVI is a studio of gifted, enthusiastic, talented children and youth who are interested in the history of their city, country, and the world, and who seek to discover themselves and improve in theater activities. Telšiai's children and youth studio SAVI was nominated as "The Brightest Disseminator of Youth Theatrical Culture".
The studio was founded in 1994 by the theater director Laimutė Pocevičienė, looking for new colors in the activities of the Žemaitė drama theater, and is still managed by it. In it, children and young people learn stage language, movement, means of theatrical expression, communicate, create and overcome complexes. By playing etudes, life situations, studio participants prepare for life, learn to solve social problems, get to know themselves and the world around them, express their creative abilities: the freedom of imagination and fantasy is opened.
With performances of various genres, the collective has repeatedly become laureates of the Lithuanian children and youth theater inspection festival "Shimtakojis", successfully represented the Telšiai Žemaitė Drama Theater at the Lithuanian adult theater inspection festival "Atspindžiai4 (in 2014, even two performances received laureate diplomas), organized several of these events regional tour or closing party. in 2007 In 2010, he had the opportunity to present his creative method and performances "Letters from Gift Hill" and "Adele's CV" in London at the Redbridge Drama Center and studied theater art with the London director Michael Woodvood, director of Romania, Slovenia, Redbridge. This performance in 2007 presented and in Jerusalem and housed in DVD format in the Yad Vashem University Museum funds. Participated in the theater project "Joy of creation" Limbaži in Latvia and together with young actors from Russia, China, Germany, Estonia, Poland, Latvia created a joint performance "Mažasis upelis". in 2009 participated in the SAPPERLOT youth theater project in Brixen (Italy), where he presented the play "Adele's CV" and got to know the works of his peers from all over the world. in 2011 with the performance "Penelope" successfully represented Lithuania in the "Baltic ramp" in Latvia. The most prominent works: poetry performance "Sadness is free" by I. Zieduonis and A. Mikutas, letter performance "Telšiai - Dovanų Kalva", "Adele's CV", "Penelope", R. Oginskaitė's "Meskis po širdim", dance performance "Velvet folds" - the whisper of epochs" (choreographer Ina Levickienė), "For Mothers, Babies, Baboons and Maidens" (with actress Nijole Narmontaita and composer singer Andrius Kulikauskas), which was nominated for the Brightest Performance of the Season, and at the Liepaja International Festival TE UN NIEKUR CITUR" won the best performance of the festival and audience prizes). The educational performance based on an artistic documentary "Etudes of Hope from the City of Seven Hills" also became a laureate. Collective 2018 The day of the theater was decorated with a play based on the book by Unė Kaunaitė, "The New Story of Robot and Peteliškė". With this performance, SAVI represented Lithuania at the international festival "Teatro Revoliucija- 2019" in Tyumen. in 2019 the Sami musical performance "Spalvuotu guzikielu rožončius", which included ethnomusicologist and singer Loreta Sungailienė, film and theater actress Valda Bičkutė-Valiukienė, poet and playwright Mindaugas Valiukas, recognized as laureates of "Atspindžių-2020". Since 2003 The studio invites the youth theater of the Baltic and Nordic countries to the international project-festival "Theatre - wings of the nation", organizes charity actions for sick children, donates Christmas charitable performances and educational events, summer camps-creative laboratories JOY OF ACTING, together with the students of the Telšiai priestly seminary for 20 years organizes Mother's Day celebrations every year. in 2014 when the studio "Savi" was celebrating its 20th anniversary of creative activity, Laimutė Pocevičienė presented the book "Theatre - the wings of the nation", which was nominated as "The most prominent theatrical publication". The actors of the studio "Savi" are included in the book "What will be in Lithuania".
