Gathered in 1986, the ensemble began active concert activity a year later, with the opening of the Museum of Applied Arts. Here, the ensemble's concerts became traditional, and its name was associated with the museum premises, where in the 16th and 17th centuries. weapons were kept. in 1998 recorded the first CD "Music in the galleries of the Lithuanian Art Museum". The collective is a participant in many ongoing projects, classical and contemporary music festivals. These are Pažaisli, "Medvėgali", Th. Mann's festivals, "Autumn of Music", "Marių klavyrai", "Music of Change", "Iš arti", "Jauna muzika", Reinsberg New Music Festival in Germany and many others. The ensemble actively performs and has held over 1000 concerts in various cities of Lithuania, Holland, France, Germany, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Russia. Participated in recordings of Lithuanian national television and radio programs. Since 1998 "Vilnius Arsenalas" implemented a number of cultural projects aimed at the interaction of music and other arts. The repertoire includes chamber music from early baroque to contemporary compositions. The ensemble initiated and performed more than 90 premieres by Lithuanian composers. Released 4 CDs from the series "Reflections of Space and Time", dedicated to the contemporary work of Lithuanian composers.
