"LIRUM" is a vocal ensemble of girls from B. Dvarion's ten-year music school, singing secular songs of the Renaissance and early Baroque. This is manor music that was played in the manors and residences of the nobles of Lithuania and throughout Europe at that time. Songs are performed in old Italian, French, Spanish and English. Their texts reflect happy and painful love, suffering for the beloved, everyday life of the manor and intrigues, fun of holidays and feasts. In order to enliven the lyrics, the singing is accompanied by elements of ancient dance. The authenticity of the medieval music is emphasized by the costumes of the ensemble, reproduced according to the drawings and iconography of that time.
Representing the music school of B. Dvarion, the ensemble performs in historical Lithuanian mansions, the Palace of the Lords, in various concert halls, and participates in festivals and representative events.
It is the only ensemble in Lithuania that performs vocal music of the Middle Ages.
