Ibai began by practicing ballet and traditional Basque dance (he will later teach it). After a year at the DANTZERTI - Escuela Superior de Danza à Bilbao, he did a professional formation at Danza 180°. He danced for the Haatik Dantza Kompainia in Spain and then Uniqart Dance Company (Biarritz) before joining the Ballet Junior de Genève in Switzerland. In 2020, he enters the ZfinMalta Dance Company.
In September 2021, he joined the Ballet national de Marseille as an apprentice dancer.
