Ildikó Ságodi (1978) was born in Budapest, Hungary. She learnt French in a bilingual secondary school in Hungary, then made French and Literature studies at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest. Between 1999 and 2002 she worked as an expert consultant on dance and theatre for the Hungarian Cultural Season in France (MAGYart 2001), then, in 2002, she joined Árpád Schilling’s Krétakör Theatre as responsible for international relations. Between 2009 and 2014, after the dissolution of Krétakör’s company, she worked for the Hungarian University of Theatre and Film Arts as an international manager both for Theatre Department and Film and Television Department. As an independent project manager, Ságodi worked for different theatre and film projects. Among others she organised the 4th edition of Friss Hús Budapest International Short Film Festival (2016) and was post production assistant for the Golden Bear-award winning Hungarian long-feature film On Body and Soul (Berlinale 2017), directed by Ildikó Enyedi. She’s been closely working with Árpád Schilling since 2016 as manager and project manager. She’s currently working on her doctoral thesis on relations and interactions between European acting techniques and acting style in the Indian Bollywood-movies.
