Joris Sodeika was born 1990 in Lithuania. He graduated from the National M. K. Čiurlionis
Art School and finished his piano studies under Professor Petras Geniušas at the Lithuanian
Academy of Music and Theatre. He is a laureate of national and international competitions.
In 2011 he won the first prize at the International Piano Competition – Festival Music
Without Boarders in Druskininkai, Lithuania. Joris Sodeika won a special prize for the best
performance of M. K. Čiurlionis’ Little Sonate at the International M. K. Čiurlionis Piano
Competition in Vilnius, Lithuania in 2011, and he also won a diploma in the same
competition in 2015. Joris Sodeika is an active participant of different musical festivals and
master classes. He has performed solo programmes in numerous towns in Lithuania.
