started his musical career at the Alsunga Music School as a pianist. Studied vocal art at the Jelgava College of Music and in 2009 graduated from the Vocal Department of the J. Vītola Latvian Academy of Music under assoc. prof. Angela Elms.
The singer regularly performs concerts in Latvia and abroad, offering listeners sacred music programs for voice and organ, as well as chamber music concerts. In cooperation with French organists, his concerts are held in French churches for the third year in a row.
In the repertoire of Jura Vizbulis' most important operatic roles are Bastien (V. A. Mozart's opera Bastien and Bastienne) and Herold (chamber opera Lysisstrate based on Aristophanes' play), as well as Tamino (V. A. Mozart's Little Magic Flute), Trike (P. Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin) and Alfred interpreted at the Latvian National Opera (J. Strauss Bat). Juris Vizbulis has sung the tenor solo in performances of Kamil Sensāns' Christmas oratorio, Mark Antoine Charpentier's Te Deum, as well as Rihards Dubra's Christmas cantata in Riga churches. The singer's repertoire also includes roles in musicals: Tony (L. Bernstein's West Side Story) and Marius (K. M. Schoenberg's Les Misérables), both produced by BT1, as well as Jázep in E. L. Weber's musical Jázep and the Spotted Dreamcoat at the Daile Theater.
