Kornelijus Užutas – artist, member of the Samogitian Artists’ Union and the Lithuanian Artists’ Union – was born on January 16, 1973 in Kelmė. In 1980–1991, he studied at Kelmė 1st Secondary School (now Kelmė Jonas Graičiūnas Gymnasium). In 1991–1996, he studied at Šiauliai University, majoring in drawing, art and works, and in 1998, he received a master’s degree in painting. He worked at the Radviliškis Art School, the Faculty of Education of Šiauliai University, the Department of Audiovisual Art of the Faculty of Arts of Šiauliai University. In 2012–2020, he worked as the director of the Šiauliai University Art Gallery. K. Užutos has been participating in group and thematic exhibitions since 1997, and has organized about 20 personal exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad.
