graduated from the Juoz Tallat-Kelpša Conservatory, studied music composition at the Royal Academy of Music in London. The author remembers that he was most motivated to participate in the contest by the high standard of preparation of the contestants, the authority of the members of the evaluation committee, and the desire to test their creative abilities in a national context.
According to him, it is difficult to say why he became interested in music creation: "finding a single answer to this question is difficult, but probably the graphic charm of musical scores and the desire to understand the secrets of sound and its organization (composition) stimulated his interest in creating."
The young author has created works for various ensembles: symphony and chamber orchestras, ensembles, plays for solo instruments. His music has been performed in Austria, Denmark, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, Sweden and Germany. Kristupas' works are performed by various collectives in Lithuania and abroad.
