Leon has been playing guitar since the age of 5. Coming from a musical family, Leon now has over 15 years years of professional live, recording and educational experience.
His sound has been described as unique, feel based approach, full of vibe & consistency with a keen ear for texture. Citing influences from across the musical spectrum, Leons capabilities as a musician allow to him to fit in to many a situation.
Music has taken Leon to all corners of the globe, sometimes to the most unexpected places..
From taking his own project, The Drop to renowned success in Europe, Leons skills as a Guitarist, MD and Composer were quickly recognised by artists such as Joss Stone, Natty and Hempolics amongst many others. Since then, Leon has found himself playing or teaching guitar in unknown territories such as North Korea, Syria and across Africa, as-well as in Europe & America.
Leon’s heart is in music creation & the sharing of notes, textures and feeling.
Leon has has been blessed to learn and collaborate in writing and recording with some of the best. Be it Grippa Laybourne (Faithless, Dido, Hempolics), Akala or Frank Hamilton, Leon’s love and passion to create and collaborate is deep and nourished.
