Videographer, animation artist Linartas Urniežis started studying art-design specialty at Klaipėda's Eduard Balsis Gymnasium of Arts. Later, he obtained a bachelor's degree in architecture at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. He has been working in the fields of video art, video graphics and 3D animation for more than ten years. Creates original video projections for the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater (annual project "Creative impulse"), Vilnius City Opera (operas "The Queen of Spades" and "Samson and Dalila"), Klaipėda State Music Theater (annual project "Attention! Ballet", opera "Journey to Tilžė") and other Lithuanian theater performances. in 2019 video projections created by him decorated the 800th anniversary celebration event "I am Žemaitija" (LNOBT). In the same year, the artist participated in the joint project of the electronic music creator Marijaus Adomaitis and the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra (conductor Gintaras Rinkevičius) "Ten Walls Symphony" in the courtyard of Trakai Castle (2019), for which he created not only video projections, but also scenography.
The 3D video projections realized by L. Urnieži with the creative group can be seen every year in public spaces of the city during the holidays: the Christmas tale on the Vilnius Archcathedral building, the New Year projection on the bell tower or thematic video projections on the fountain in the Neris River during the Capital Days. The artist has also implemented similar projects in Denmark: 2012-2017. created 3D video projections on Odense City Hall for the Hans Christian Andersen Festival held there, where he won second prizes for several years in a row, and from 2015 to 2018 for Denmark's Independence Day in Haderslev. The artist also presented two original video installations at the Vilnius Light Festival ("Mes", 2020; "Tokyo", 2021).
