Although he appears mainly as a solo performer, he has collaborated several times as a pianist, composer, arranger and accordionist with the MinAfric Orchestra, Canto General, Radiodervish and Municipale Balcanica and other ensembles. Livio has obtained 4 diplomas of higher studies in the fields of classical piano, jazz music, orchestration for various orchestras (Piccinni Conservatory of Music in Bari) and composition (Duni Conservatory of Music in Matera).
As a solo music producer, he released the albums La dolcezza del Grido (Leo Records, Great Britain), La fiamma e il cristallo (Enja Records, Germany) and Sole Luna (Incipit Records, Italy), and as the Livio Minafra 4et ensemble's “Surprise! !!” (Enja Records, Germany). Created the soundtrack for Mimmo Mancini's film Ameluk and Valery Vestos' film Essere Gigione.
