Born in 1975 in Šiauliai. In 1999 she graduated from Vilnius University with a BA in Philosophy and in 2009 from Vilnius Academy of Arts with an MA in Fine Arts. Her first photo album "Gold and Fish" was published in 2014. Jelinskaskaitė organizes exhibitions and writes essays on contemporary Lithuanian art.
"As far as Malvina Jelinskaskaitė's photographic practices are concerned, it is probably inaccurate to use the conventional notion of "photography", as for her, photography is more of an intuitive state of sensual reality conveyed by the camera than simply the creation of images. Therefore, Jelinskaite's photographic practices can also be described as performative.
