Martina Doehring began her music studies while still at school at the Lübeck Music Academy with the status of an extraordinary student. After graduating from high school, she completed her music teacher studies with Prof. Gotlinde Sudau, majoring in piano, in addition to her singing studies with Prof. Ute Niss.
The soprano sang as a soloist at home and abroad (International Chamber Music Festival of the Gdansk State Opera; International Festival for New Music, Venice; International Organ Music Festival, Rome; Festival for Early Music, Berlin; Kristupo Vasaros Festival, Vilnius; International Organ Music Festival, Riga; Messiaen Festival, Basel; International Music Festival Tallinn; International Music Festival Helsinki; Les Journées de l'Orgue en Alsace, Les Mardis Merklin, Obernai; International Reger Festival, Helsinki; International Bach Festival of the Joshkar Ola State Opera and others)
Engagements as a soloist in oratorios and church concerts have taken her to numerous churches (e.g. St. Marien Lübeck, Madonna del Orto, Tintoretto Church, Venice; Petruskirche, Basel; St. Nicolai, Tallinn; St. Thomas d'Aquin, Paris; Catholic Cathedral, Moscow; Johannessenkirko, Kalliokirko, Helsinki; Cathedral, Pizunda) and she has made radio and television recordings for German and foreign broadcasting stations.
The singer has a special interest in contemporary music. She sang the soprano part in the following world premieres:

She particularly enjoys improvising when singing baroque music, arranging instrumental music for voice and taking a voice as vox vere humana when performing organ music.
