Mindaugas Stumbras is a jazz guitarist and composer who performs and creates both jazz and contemporary music. He is one of the most promising Lithuanian jazz performers who actively participates in Lithuanian and foreign jazz scenes. Having received secondary education at the Vilnius JuozoTallat-Kelpša Conservatory, the musician continued to improve and in 2019 obtained a bachelor's degree at the Royal Conservatory of Scotland. In the last few years, Mr. Stumbras visited many European countries with his music, played in famous jazz clubs and visited famous international jazz festivals. In 2018, he released his debut album "Our Kingdom", which was successfully presented and appreciated by listeners and music critics. The vinyl record "Inspirations", released in 2021, brought even greater interest to listeners. The groups he founded have become laureates of Vilnius Jazz Young Power (2015) and Kaunas Jazz Competition (2020). In 2016, Mr. Stumbras took first place in one of the most significant Lithuanian guitar competitions, "Gitaru Šėlsmas", and in 2018, 2020 and 2021, his created and recorded works were selected for the collection "Jazz from" published by the Lithuanian Jazz Federation. Lithuania".
In 2022, the artist together with the group received the young creator prize established by the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania for merits in musical activities. In the same year, the publishing house Lithuanian Music and Information Center published the author's sheet music publication "Gitaros skizai" for solo guitar.
