Nikita Geller was born in Minsk in 1997. He received his first violin lessons at the age of five at the music school in Minsk with Prof. Olga Karotina.At the age of nine he started taking lessons from Prof. Kutsovsky in Erfurt. In 2008 he passed the entrance exam at the music high school "Schloss Belvedere" in Weimar and took lessons from Prof. Lehmann and C. Blumenstein.Numerous concerts with chamber music groups, the orchestra and solo performances in and outside of Germany followed. Since 2014, Nikita has been studying in the class of Prof. Dr. Friedemann Eichhorn at the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Weimar. He has won several first prizes and special prizes at the national competition "Jugend Musiziert" and the International Karl-Adler Music Competition.As a soloist, Nikita has performed with the Academic Orchestra Halle-Wittenberg, the Landeskapelle Eisenach and the Chamber Orchestra of the Music Academy "Franz Liszt" Weimar.He is also a member of the Splendor Baroque ensemble and the Via Nova ensemble.With the Ensemble Via Nova he has performed in England (London Ear Festival), Italy (IlSouno Festival Musica Contemporanea), South Korea (Daegu International Contemporary Music Festival) and in Germany at the Intersonanzen Festival in Potsdam, Klangnetz Thüringen and the Weimar Spring Days for New Musicians music on.Nikita was supported by scholarships from the Sparkassenstiftung Weimar, the Thuringia Ministry of Education, the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and the Ingeborg-Fahrenkamp-Schäffler Foundation. He is a scholarship holder of the "Villa Musica" Rhineland-Palatinate.The Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben has made a violin by Aegidius Klotz (Mittenwald 1733-1805) from the German Musical Instrument Fund available to Nikita Geller.
