Born in Vienna in 1967, Peter Strutzenberger began making music in his early childhood. After first attempts at walking with various bands, he studied jazz bass, instrumental and vocal pedagogy and film music at the Franz Schubert Conservatory and the University (later University) for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. For many years he has been touring around the world with various acts, has played in various theater productions and works as a studio musician and producer.
His trademark is the widest possible range of styles and playing techniques from classical to jazz. But his special love is the exploration and new discovery of old styles of jazz and blues.
He played live and in the studio with acts like Jose Feliciano, Harri Stojka, 5 in Love, Pete Art, Salty Dogz, Wiener Tschuschenkapelle, Dobrek Bistro, Hot Jazz Ambassadors, Axel Zwingenberger, Christian Dozzler & the Blueswave, Johnny & the Creditcards, Nugget, Hansi Lang, Oscar Klein, Storyville Jazzband, Sandra Pires, Red Holoway, Howard Alden, Karl Ratzer, Katie Webster, Larry Garner, Dana Gillespie, Ashton Savoy, Johnny Allen, Duke Heitger, Henry Grey, Andy Lee Lang, Jon Cleary , Big Jay McNeely, Louisiana Red, Hank Thompson, Michael Holm, and many more.
