P. Keblikas has devoted more than 50 years to the Youth Theatre and its music. Not a single performance in which the smallest musical part had to be played was without him. He worked quietly, meticulously, responsibly and with immense dedication. Guitar, accordion, oboe - apart from the violin, the musician with the brightest memory had mastered almost all musical instruments. Keblikas simultaneously performed the roles of composer, arranger, conductor and singer. It was thanks to him that the Youth Theatre became known as a singing theatre. For several decades, the "Home Music Group" and the actors' group "Without Make-up" were active here, entertaining Lithuanian audiences for a long time.
Every actor who had even a minimum of musical talent, Keblikas was able to "tame" to music: he would teach the basics of singing, ensemble, harmony, and introduce them to the common musical environment. Saulius Sipaitis, a long-time actor of the Youth Theatre, together with P. Keblikas and his wife, actress R. Kazlauskaite, were the first enthusiasts to establish an ensemble in the theatre. Sipaitis was one of the many students of Keblikas, who remains grateful to him for his unique vocal lessons and for instilling in him a love of music.
Singer V. Povilionienė also worked at the Youth Theatre at the beginning of her musical career. However, at first her activities were limited to the work of the head of the pedagogical part, and only later, after moving to the Folklore Theatre, which is located here, did she get involved with music. Here she met P. Keblik, who at that time was immersed in arranging folk songs. According to Povilionienė herself, the musician arranged the songs while preserving their spirit. "Povilas gave me, who was completely music-illiterate, a lot, and developed my judgment and taste," the famous folk singer said in an interview, recalling Keblikas.
