Remis Rančys is a music creator who plays saxophone, melodrone, percussion, and flute. The style of universal music is based on the jazz tradition, but in addition to jazz classics, he is also interested in world music and various ethnic tributaries - Brazilian, African, Chinese, Japanese and Indian music. Active musician and creator R. Rančys is the initiator and participant of many projects. "I like colorful programs, each piece of which sounds different," admits R. Rančys. Many of his compositions are inspired by real life events. According to the author, his musical ideas can be born after reading a book, watching a good movie, traveling to an exotic country or meeting an old monk in the jungle. The author aims to convey the impression of visuality in his music. The musician admires minimalism not only in life, but also in his work: "For me, music and architecture are very close, so I look for a light form and structure for each piece. The most important thing is a good, economical construction and a constant impression of movement - just like in nature. Music is a great way to feel and reflect on things that words cannot define. I would like the listener who comes to my concert to discover new territories, to expand the boundaries of his perception."
