Rimas Sakalauskas (born 1985) is a video artist, theater artist, specializing in multimedia, 3D installation. The artist is one of the most talented video artists of the young generation in Lithuania.
Rimas Sakalauskas has a long list of achievements, including the "Silver Crane" and "Golden Stage Cross" awards, his work was chosen as the best installation at the art fair "ArtVilnius'13", and he was recognized as the best young artist of the fair at ArtVilnius'18 . R.Sakalauskas has also won recognition in Latvia and Finland.
Rimas has been successfully working with the most famous Lithuanian theater directors for several years: O. Koršunov, G. Varna, A. Areima, etc. Last year, the young creator was nominated for the Golden Stage Cross award for the video projections for O. Narbutaitė's opera "Kornet" (dir. G. Varnas) and the play "Together" (dir. A. Areima).
