in 1975 graduated from the Lithuanian State Conservatory (now the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre), prof. Olga Šteinberg's piano class. During his studies, he obtained the qualifications of a teacher of special piano subjects with prof. Jurgis Fledžinskas and Audronė Vainiūnaitė (chamber ensemble), Eugenijius Įgnatoni (piano pedagogy, methodology and practice), Virginija Dabkutė (concertmaster).
Since 1976 teaches at the Faculty of Klaipėda. He trained and improved his qualifications at the Leningrad Conservatory (now the St. Petersburg N. Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory), the German G.F. Telemann School of Music (awarded the professional qualification of a carillon player), the Latvian J. Vytuolas Academy of Music and the Polish University of Częstochowa.
Stanislovas Žilevičius has been ringing the Klaipėda carillon since 1987. The carillon performs about 60 concerts every year. He constantly participates in carillon music festivals in Lithuania and abroad. in 2001 became the laureate of the international competition of carillonists in Hamburg (Germany). He has performed in Europe and the USA. He often combines carillon and other instruments in his programs, he has played with orchestras, choirs and electronics. S. Žilevičius' repertoire consists of music by composers from the Baroque period to the present day. Prof. S. Žilevičius is the author of publications on carillon ringing methodology, original works for carillon and arrangements.
