Stephanie Engeln was born in Düsseldorf and studied interior architecture and design. Since 1985 creates scenography, costumes and lighting for theater and opera productions, creates exhibitions, museum installations and hotel interiors. in 1989 she first worked with Robert Wilson at the Frankfurt Theater on Shakespeare's King Lear starring Marianne Hoppe. Later, many other joint art, theater and opera projects were implemented in Europe, Asia and the USA.
