Tomas Milerius was born in 1999 and began taking music lessons at the age of four from his father, Antanas Milerius, who is a principal clarinetist with the Klaipeda State Symphony Orchestra. After graduating from his father’s class he moved to France and enrolled at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris where he studied with Patrick Messina and Pierre Genisson. In 2021 Tomas moved to Brussels to study at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels, where he was taught by Benjamin Dieltjens. Clarinetist currently pursues his education at the Manhattan School of Music in New York under Charles Neidich. Tomas has won Grand Prize at the International ASRS Clarinet competition 2022 (USA), 2nd place at the International Silverstein Clarinet competition 2022 (USA), Grand Prize at the International Glasgow Clarinet competition 2018 (U.K), Grand Prize at International “Music Without Limits” competition 2019 (Lithuania), 1st prize at International Young Artist competition 2017 (Italy), and many others. Tomas has made solo performances in Lithuania, United Kingdom, Romania, United States, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, and France. Appeared as a soloist together with Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel Symphony Orchestra, Klaipeda State Symphony Orchestra, Lithuanian Navy Sea Force Band, Palanga State Wind Band, Stasys Simkus conservatoire student symphony orchestra. Clarinetist performed in such venues as Palanga Kurhauz Concert Hall (Lithuania), Queen Elisabeth Hall (Belgium), Salle Cortot (France),Etihad Museum (UAE), etc. He was recently invited to play program as a guest clarinetist in Antwerp Symphony Orchestra. In 2023 Tomas has signed with Royal Global clarinet brand and became them Artist.
