Born and raised in Klaipėda. Studied digital art and multimedia at Escola Superior de Artes e Design in Portugal and photography at Tampere University of Applied Sciences in Finland, Bachelor's degree in communication at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. The creative process of the artist is linked to the search for identity, reflecting on the mountains and hillsides of life, observing the changing environment; she uses the mediums of photography and textiles, interweaving them with each other. The works are atmospheric, rhythmic and evoke a sense of nostalgia. They are about distant, personal, and sometimes not so much, visible but more often invisible realities. Kociute's work has already been presented in exhibitions in Germany and Portugal.
