Virginija Idzelytė-Dautartienė 1974 graduated from the Lithuanian State Institute of Fine Arts, majored in scenography at the Department of Painting. 1976-1989 was the director of the Vilnius Academic Drama Theater. artist. Since 1989 He teaches scenography composition and stage costume at the Department of Monumental Painting and Scenography of the Vilnius Academy of Arts. in 1994 granted the title of associate professor, in 2009 - professor. He created scenery for the Lithuanian Television Theater, Lithuanian and foreign drama and musical theaters. He collaborated with many famous Lithuanian directors. Creates scenography and costume projects. He portrayed more than 70 performances in various Lithuanian theaters in Hungary, Romania, Georgia. Awarded prizes for various performances. Member of the Union of Lithuanian Artists and Theater. Author of the "History of Costumes" textbook (2009). Participates in exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad.
