Vytautas Lukočius (born 1975) graduated from the National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Arts in 1993 in piano and choral conducting. Later, he entered the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, which he graduated twice: in 1999, he obtained the qualification of pianist soloist and concertmaster (class of Prof. Jurgis Karnavičiaus), and in 2000, the qualification of orchestra conductor and master's degree (class of doc. Gintaras Rinkevičiaus).
1999 - 2002 the conductor studied orchestral conducting at the J. Sibelius Academy (Helsinki, Finland) in the classes of professors Leif Segerstam, Jorma Panula and Ats Almila and received a diploma in 2002. 2003 – obtained the degree of licentiate of arts at the art postgraduate course of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater. V. Lukočius won awards at the Republican Young Conductors Competition (Vilnius, 1991, 2nd place) and the E.Dineikaitė Concertmasters Competition (1998, 1st place). In 2006, he won the 1st place in the 3rd Jorma Panulas International Conducting Competition (Finland). In 2009, Vytautas Lukočius won a gold medal and the laureate title at the 4th International Eduardo Mata Orchestra Conducting Competition in Mexico.
