From the age of 6, he started attending the "Ažuoliukos" children's music school, learning to play the piano and flute. He often performed at concerts and festivals organized by children's music schools in the city of Vilnius. In 1998, he started playing the transverse flute (learned in A. Mangird's class). Since 2002, his teacher is Žibutė Valkaitytė, an artist of the highest category of the State Symphony Orchestra, and since 2005, V. Gursti has been constantly advised by LMTA professor Valentinas Gelgotas. 2003 Vytenis graduated with honors from the "Ažuoliukos" music school and continued to study in a targeted education class. In 2004, based on the recommendation of Mstislav Rostropovičius, Vytenius was awarded a scholarship from the "Help for Lithuanian Children" foundation, which the student received before starting his studies at the university. Currently studying at London's Royal Academy of Music under Professor William Bennett.
