The plot of the performance "The Little Magic Flute" was written by the Polish director Krystyna Meissner based on the wonderful opera "The Magic Flute". She shortened this complex work, full of various Masonic symbolism, and adapted it for children, so that young theatergoers could also get to know one of the most famous works of the brilliant Austrian composer V.A.Mozart, and hear his fascinating music.
The musical fairy tale "The Little Magic Flute" was staged for the first time in 1984. In Poland, the Toruń theater was directed by K. Meissner, the author of the plot, and Andrzej Gałła played the main role of Papageno. The charming Papagenas later began to direct this performance himself on the stages of other theaters, including the Kaunas State Music Theater.


The play, based on one of W.A. Mozart's most beautiful operas, "The Magic Flute" (Die Zauberflöte), tells how the prankster Papagen learns virtue and nobility from Prince Tamino, how they rescue Princess Pamina together, about the mysterious Queen of the Night and the wise King Zarastra.

The performance retains most of the music of the brilliant classic, and even features both of the Queen of the Night's complex arias.
