Биография

Lithuanian writer, translator, who held left-wing views before the war, oppositionist. He was buried in Vilnius Rasu cemetery.
A collection of short stories by K. Kiela "Among the steaming poison" in 1926. Kaunas Diocese was added to the list of prohibited books. Also, even before the war, the writer published the books "Fate's grimaces" and "The lake flew away", and in 1958 - "A dull night."

He translated S. Žeromski's "Pavasarasent", K. Simonov's "Russian Question", A. Serafimovičiaus' "The Miracle", with A. Rimydzis - I. Erenburg's "Trylika pypkių", into Russian - Juoz Baltuš's "Sold Summer" into Lithuanian. in 1970 a collection of his short stories "Cowskin" was published.

K. Kiela's work is dominated by social themes, ironically portraying the townspeople. The story is dynamic, mixed with humor.
