Born on 19 January 1945 in Gavėnai, Biržai district. Died 08 09 2014 in Vilnius.
In 1968 graduated from the Faculty of History and Philology of Vilnius University. She worked as a correspondent and editor of press publications, and as an editor at Vaga Publishing House. Since 1995 she has worked as a chief methodologist at the Customs Training Centre. She has collaborated in the weekly Šeimininkės and the magazine Slauga: teorija ir praktika (Nursing: Theory and Practice), where she worked on the section on language culture entitled 'Matas Švirkštas Konsultuoja Matas Švirkštas' (Matas Švirkštas consults). She was a member of the International Children's and Young People's Literature Association (IBBY). Many of her poems have become children's songs.
