Born on 04 01 1930 in Jurgeliškiai, Jurbarkas district.
Until the spring of 1952 he attended Jurbarkas secondary evening school. Just before the graduation exams (after his father's death), he had to flee his homeland from the threat of repression. He passed his abitur externally at Kaunas VII secondary school. He received his matriculation certificate, but he was not allowed to study Lithuanian language and literature at the University, because they required a certificate of social origin for admission to higher education. In 1955, she graduated from the Republican Kaunas Medical School with a degree in pharmacy. From 1955 to 1969, she worked in Kaunas pharmacies, later as a senior research associate at the Maironis Lithuanian Literature Museum and at the Kaunas Artists' House. In 1990, at the first general meeting of Lithuanian writers, her poetry collection "Neužmirštuolių skliautas" was nominated for the National Prize. She has written plays and stories for puppet theatres and a libretto for the opera "Kauko Sakmė". Poetry has been translated into English, German, Finnish, Czech, Hungarian, Estonian, Latvian, Ukrainian, Russian and other languages. The composers have written vocal cycles, sonatas (a record has been published), cantatas, ballads, suites, works for children's choirs (published in the publications "Tai gražumas tėviškėlės" (It's the beauty of the homeland), "Ąžuoliukai" (The Oak Trees), "Mūsų maziesiems" (For Our Little Ones), "Po gimtinės oak" (Under the oaks of our homeland), "Dainų dainelė-91" (Song Song-91) and others). She has translated the works of various poets, and has been published in the almanacs and magazines of "Poetry Spring". Participated in the resistance to the occupation, collaborated in the anti-Soviet underground press. She was granted the legal status of a participant of the Lithuanian freedom struggle (resistance fighter).
