"Teisutis Makačinas describes his creative style as a combination of neoclassicism with Bartok's transformation of folk music. All of Makačina's work is characterized by a linear beginning, polyphonic development of musical thought, clear structure and strict internal logic. Instrumented the opera "Birutė" by Miko Petrauskas (1978), works by Juozs Gruodis and Maurice Ravel.
