Биография

Drummer and composer Adas Gecevičius started learning music with piano and accordion lessons at the M. K. Čiurlionis Music School in Druskininkai, and from the age of 13 he played drums in local rock ensembles and composed his own music.
While still studying jazz percussion at LMTA, he signed an advertising representative contract with the Swiss drum cymbal manufacturer Paiste. in 2013 Adas became the prize winner of the international drumming competition "Drum Day" and represented Lithuania in the Baltic drumming competition in Latvia.
He has been successfully expressing himself as a composer for almost a decade: he created the music for the first full-length Lithuanian horror film "Rūsys", the action of the musical festival "Mfest", as well as the children's play "Garar" by O. Lapina, which was nominated for the Golden Stage Cross. in 2017 A. Gecevičius was awarded the Golden Stage Cross as the co-author of the best dance performance "Game Over".
