Graduated from Vilnius A. Vienuolis secondary school, 1968. - Lithuanian State Conservatory. 1968-1970 Interned at La Scala theater in Milan. 1968-1978 of the Lithuanian State Opera and Ballet Theatre, 1978–1998. Soloist of the Lithuanian National Philharmonic. Since 1978 Lecturer, professor at the Lithuanian State Conservatory (now the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre). G. Kaukaitė's chamber singing class graduated: Asta Krikščiūnaitė, Sigutė Stonytė, Rita Preikšaitė, Judita Leitaitė, Sabina Martinaitytė, Ignas Misiūra, Liudas Norvaišas, Audrius Rubežius, Gintarė Skerytė, Raimonda Tallat-Kelpšaitė, Violeta Urmanavičiūtė-Urmana, Jūratė Vizbaraitė, Vaidas Vyšniauskas , Mindaugas Žemaitis and others.He sang solo parts of vocal symphonic works, organized over 1000 recitals.
