Graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the singing class of Professor Roman Węgrzyn. He made his debut in 1990 as Clem in Britten's Mały kominiarczyk at the Teatr Wielki - Polish National Opera, where he remains a soloist to this day. He has nearly 70 operatic roles in his repertoire. Finalist of the Ada Sari Vocal Art Competition in Nowy Sącz (1991), laureate of the Stanisław Moniuszko International Vocal Competition in Warsaw (1992) and the Belvedere International Opera Competition in Vienna (1995). In the years 1990-1998 he was associated with the Warsaw Chamber Opera. In 1996 he collaborated with the Hamburg Staatsoper and toured Japan. Since 1997 he has been a soloist at the Kraków Opera. Since 1998 he has worked with the National Theatre in Prague (Rossini's The Barber of Seville, The Magic Flute, Mozart's Così fan tutte, Smetana's The Bartered Bride, the premiere of Rameu's Castor and Pollux). In 2000 he joined the regular guests of the National Opera in Sofia (the title role in Gounod's Faust, Edgar in Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor, Almaviva in The Barber of Seville). In 2014 he returned to the Czech stages in the triple role of Mazal, Blankytný and Petrik in the premiere of Janáček's opera Výlety paně Broučkovy at the National Theatre in Moravia-Silesia in Ostrava. The artist also has a rich oratorio and cantata repertoire (around 70 titles), which he owes to his collaboration with Polish and foreign philharmonic orchestras. He took part in: the Polish premiere of Ponchielli's I Lituani (conducted by G. Nowak), the European premiere of Noam Sheriff's Psalms of Jerusalem (conducted by the composer), a performance of Rossini's Stabat Mater (conducted by N. Santi), the world premiere of Stefani's Stabat Mater (conducted by G. Nowak), the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Simfonia Varsovia (Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 conducted by J. Semkow), the production of The Haunted Manor in Buffalo, the ceremonial closing of the Schubert Year celebrations (Schubert's Mass in E flat major, conducted by S. Kohler), the inauguration of the season at the National Philharmonic (Haydn's The Seasons, conducted by K. Kord), a recital of Chopin's Songs in Tokyo, a performance of Penderecki's Seven Gates of Jerusalem at the Teatro Real in Madrid, at the Midem 2000 music fair and during the Festival European Music in Beijing (conducted by the composer), concerts of Mendelssohn's oratorio Paulus with the Israel Chamber Orchestra in Tel Aviv, Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin (Lensky) at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, the premiere of Krauze's Ivona, Princess of Burgundy in Paris, the premiere of Škroupa's DerMeergeuse in Prague. He sang under the baton of such conductors as: Lorin Maazel, Noam Sheriff, Jiri Belohlavek, Jonas Kovacs, Kurt Masur, Nello Santi, Jerzy Semkow, Stanisław Skrowaczewski, Zygmunt Latoszewski, Jan Krenz, Jerzy Satanowski, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Antoni Wit, Grzegorz Nowak, Kazimierz Kord, Jacek Kaspszyk and with such artists as: Renato Bruson, Lucia Aliberti, Alan Titus, Soile Isokoski, Alberto Cupido, Siegfried Jerusalem, Joane Altmeier, Evgeni Nesterenko, Andreas Schmidt, Ning Liang, Eva Marton, Sylvia Geszty and Andrzej Dobber. He performed all of Krzysztof Penderecki's oratorio works under the composer's baton. Winner of the first edition of the Minister of Culture and Art award "Ad Astra". In 2012, he received the Silver Medal for Merit to Culture "Gloria Artis" from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the "Honoris Gratia" Badge from the Mayor of Krakow.
